Gamay Noir
Light, fruit-driven red wine. Fresh red-fruit and candied aromas, it typically delivers little in the way of flavor concentration and body weight. Can range from light and simple wines through deep and complex.
Since 2002, Grochau Cellars has worked with family owned and sustainably-farmed vineyards to make wines that are balanced, textured and redolent of place. Natural wine fermentation and a light touch in the cellar allow them to capture the nuances of the vintage, the vine and the land.

This wine should bottled as a perfume so its aromas of ripe Hood strawberries, honeysuckle and dried Hidcote lavender can be dabbed on all nearby pulse points. The wine's tannins are grippy, with bright flavors of blackberry, lemon and buttered toast points. - Michael Alberty, Wine Enthusiast

Aerea Vintners is well on its way to becoming a full-fledged winery, and we could not have done it without your support. Not much has changed in our approach since 2016—a little whole cluster fermentation here, a little dry ice in the vat there, pump overs in lieu of punchdowns: just simple, hands-off winemaking starting from the premise (and promise) of great fruit.
2018 harvest was warm and sunny so the resulting Gamay brims with generous, crackling red cranberry fruit, and a subtle savory quality that will serve it well at your table.
